Low Carb Chicken Fried Steak and Sausage Gravy | All Day I Dream About Food

Ingredients

  • Four chicken breast fillets
  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Two eggs
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsps. unsalted butter measured solid and Melted

Gravy

  • 1-cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum
  • Four ounces ground breakfast sausage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Take a bowl and add parmesan, almond flour, all seasoning and spices in it. mix them well and place aside.
  • In another bowl, ass eggs and whipping cream and whisk well
  • Now, coat the fillets in almond flour mixture, then dip into the egg mixture and again into flour mixture to make it stick well
  • Place the stakes aside and heat up a pan or iron skillet.
  • Keep the heat medium and add butter with avocado oil in the pan. Make sure it will fill about ΒΌ inch of the pan.
  • Once it is heated a little, add the stakes one by one or in a batch of two depending on the pan size.
  • Cook them for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side until it has done from the inside and crisp on the outside.
  • Now remove the fillets from the pan and put them in a dish.
  • Remove foil from the pan and adjust heat to medium to get started with the sauce
  • Add heavy cream, salt, and pepper to the pan and stir is for 2 minutes continuously
  • In a small bowl, add xanthan gum mix it with a 2-table spoon of gravy mixture from the pan, and make a good mixture
  • Pour the mixture into the gravy pan and stir for about 2 or 3 minutes
  • Once done, remove it from the pan and assemble
  • Dish the fried steak on a plate and pour the gravy on the top. You can add keto fries or other sides with it to enjoy.
